Wow. My company blocked Facebook but they forgot about Blogger.
Contrary to what most people would think, I like working on Saturdays. Maybe because it's a half-day, and there's really no work to do but I'm still being paid. And I can wear anything I want and go out straight after work. But most of all, I think people's moods generally change for the better during the weekend.
Just now, this angmoh director called and eventhough the 2 persons he asked for were on leave, he didn't seem annoyed. In fact, he cracked a joke with me. He was like, "Oh, so they're both on leave? Should we start a rumour about them? Hmm?" LOL. Then later one of the 2 persons arrived in the office and I couldn't help grinning away when I told him to return the director's call.
After that, this foreign manager called and when I told him the person he was looking for was not in, he asked for her personal mobile number. Then he added that he hoped her husband wouldn't mind cos he was calling her purely for business issues and then he laughed like crazy.
What a funny day. But it has been a totally unusual week.
Yesterday was the day I told a colleague I officially hated him. HAH. But I don't really mean it, of course. It's just that I had painstakingly done the stocktaking for office stationery and I was just about to distribute the newly ordered stuff when I realised some of them were missing. So I searched the entire room like some idiot for some freaking box of clips and 6 A4 clear folders. In the end I had to tell my colleague that I made a mistake in her order. Then this angmoh guy who was my jerk colleague's accomplice overheard us and owned up and that's how I got to hate that jerk.
I got back at him when we were waiting for the mrt. The accountant ganged up with me to suan him like crazy. He has this reeeally ancient Nokia phone. I said it was ugly, she said that's why it suits him. LOL. Seriously, why would someone who earns 4k a month use a primitive phone? Weirdo.
My supervisor is getting her iPhone next week.
I hate her. Starting next week.
And since my company is holding its annual dinner and dance soon, I get the honour of cutting the giftwrap into suitable sizes. I swear, I was never so braindead before. Well, that's the bad part. The good part was that I wasn't in charge of wrapping the gifts. Whoa, pheeeew! You know, we had to do all of that while hiding in a meeting room. Yes, hiding. Because the boss doesn't like to see his employees engaged in non-lucrative activities. What the hell.. It's still for the company, right? And you think we want to cut and fold paper??
Speaking of which, the company dinner clashes with my 4/5 BBQ!!
Shitness.
